Cannot access CD-ROM drive connected to sound card due to missing driver.
Cause:
Device driver for the sound card is missing.
Solution:
Install the driver for the sound card, and restart Windows 95.
1) Open the 'Add New Hardware' icon, and click 'Next'.

2) Select the 'No' radio button and click 'Next'.
Select 'No' radio button and click 'Next'
3) Double-click the 'Sound, video, and game controllers' icon in the 'Hardware types' list box.

4) Select the sound card manufacturer from the 'Manufacturers' list box, and then select the sound card model from the 'Models' list box.
5) Do one of the following:
a) If you are installing the sound card with drivers supplied from the Windows 95 diskettes or the manufacturer, click 'Have Disk...' and follow the manufacturer's instructions.
Click 'Have Disk...'
b) If you are installing the sound card with drivers supplied with Windows 95, insert the Windows 95 CD-ROM and click 'Next'.
6) Select the appropriate resources (such as IRQ,
DMA, and I/O addresses) for the sound card driver, and click 'Next'.
CAUTION: Please refer to the device's installation manual before assigning resources to the driver. Incorrectly assigning resources to a driver may cause conflicts with other devices.
7) Click 'Finish'.
Click 'Finish'
8) Click 'Yes' to restart the computer.

NOTE: For DOS program support for the sound card and CD-ROM drive, you may have to edit the AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files. Refer to your sound card manual for instructions on how to configure the sound card and the CD-ROM to support DOS applications.
